What Is a Panoramic Padel Court?

A panoramic padel court (also called a “full glass” court) has glass panels covering all four sides of the court from floor to ceiling — or close to it. There is minimal or no solid wall or mesh section. The entire court is visible from outside.

What Is a Standard Padel Court?

A standard padel court uses a combination of glass panels and metal mesh or solid walls, typically with glass at the ends and a lower glass section at the sides, with mesh above. This is the most common padel court configuration globally and the one used in most club and recreational settings.

Does the Glass Type Affect How Padel Is Played?

Yes — slightly. In a panoramic court, the full-glass side walls produce a different ball rebound compared to the metal mesh used in standard courts. The ball tends to come off glass faster and at a flatter angle than mesh.

For recreational and club play, this difference is minimal — players adapt quickly. For competition use, panoramic courts are increasingly the standard at professional level, particularly in Europe.
